It was credited with popularizing location-based and augmented reality gaming, as well as for promoting physical activity. However, it has also attracted controversy for contributing to accidents and becoming a public nuisance at some locations.
Multiple governments expressed concerns over the game's security, with legislation being passed in some countries as a result.
Pokemon Go is also very popular here in the Philippines well in fact our Bae Alden Richards is playing it. He is searching and catching a Pokemon.
